Be a salesman with beginners luck forever.


There are situations that beginners luck seems to occure and everything happens to go right when you might start something new. It is also the case with things that you did not done in a long while. That is like shooting hoops and the ball just go in the hoop. Also like Ice Hockey every puck in the net and also like playing pool. Shots go in the side pocket. It is just a good thing to have beginners luck all the time. The term "beginners luck" gives an idea of the phenomenon when people are just getting started with something. Why do rookies beat the pro's at a game where the rookies are just getting their feet wet.

One of the answers can be when you are just getting your feet wet. You are not familiar with all the theories, rules, statistics, theories and techniques that might goes through your head piece when you are old veteran and try to perform at a top level. When you are a pro with all the expertise you might bite the bullet of the rookie who beat the pro's with beginners luck and start to win big time.  It is for sure that in most of the situations is that beginners luck. Even beginners luck will go away when the reality comes to play the part in the scenerio of  the salesmen with beginners luck.  This will put the new top performer with the both feet on the ground. This is not a lie in a sale.

Dummy stage is another word for beginners stage in the selling world. It do not last forever the beginners luck and you will run out of the beginners luck to reach the set targets. But even in an initial stage you can use super armour to harness against pitfalls of this stage. Eventually you can use the pitfalls in your advantage. This can be called the "The Dummy Curve". Process of the dummy curve or rather progression from the dummy stage to a professional stage can be reached when you utilize the proper tools from dummy stage to grow your skills in the professional stage.  It can be irritating and pleasing to the prospect when it comes to dummy skills.  The skills set must be utilized properly to armour your self with useful dummy qualities and become a good sales person and be productive to super charging your self when becoming a  professional sales person.

Say hi to Lt. Columbo.

You might see what I mean. This is an example we often use to give directions about this issue. There no chance that you do not know about LAPD detective called Lt. Columbo. That was back in 1970s and '80s. The manner this guy worked was quite excentric and his method of interrogating the muder suspect was out of this world. They always undermined the Lt. Columbo. If you go on youtube you can find plenty of Lt. Columbo's episodes.

There was an episode when Columbo has to answer a call at 11 p.m to investigate a murder case. The first thing he does going from house to house looking for answers. Until he gets to knock on the door of the fifth house in a row. And now it is 1:30 in the morning. A couple come to the door and opens up and the husband is so polite and asks Columbo "How can I help you?" Columbo says "Oh, yes, I am sorry. It is kind of late. I am Lt. Columbo with the LAPD. And he flashes his badge and the couple looks at his excentric appearance. (If you thought that they were the murderers in that episode. Then you are right) He explains why he is at the door and states that there has been an incident with the Murphys. He asks them if they knew Murphys. The wife answers "not really, kind of." Coloumbo says that they are not suspects that he is just here to answer questions. He explains that they are not suspects because the tire marks do not match on their front lawn. And the couple's car is parked in the front of the house.

The couple is so polite to ask him to come in the living room to have a cup of coffee. After couple of minutes pass by with questions and answers, Columbo says to the husband"Do you have a pen and paper"? because I forgot mine". He says that he was asleep when he got the call and he forgot to bring a pen and paper with him. The wife did not hesitate to give him a pen and paper. You might guess what the couple was thinking. This guy do not have a clue. He will never get to know that who commited the murder. The couple thought he was an amature. Columbo keeps asking questions and he keeps taking notes. They never thought getting caught by this excentric way of behaving Lt.
At last he is through asking questions and he hands the pen back. He is leaving the house. The couple thinks they are getting away with murder. He is almost outside the door and he hits his forehead with his palm and says "One more thing. Do you own another car?" They says without thinking. Well, yes, that is in the garage." They proceed to go to the garage. Columbo continues to check further the car. The tires were muddy and the marks match perfectly. The couple forgot that he was a detective and he was interrogating a murder. Why was he suspecting? Because he was acting that he knew a lot less than he actually did.

Asking lots of questions and being a dummy can get you anywhere but at a point where you can see success. They will trust you much quicker. If you can master the dummy curve can give you more success to make more money.
